Lydia Awakens (Allison, Lydia & Stiles)

This Thread Takes Place After Visiting Lydia

As Stiles came back from the vending machine Allison takes the candy from him and smiles slightly as she puts her feet back down on the floor. As she starts to unwrap her Reese, Allison hears noises coming from Lydia's room. The sounds of someone groaning and moving things around come from behind the closed door. Suddenly the sounds of a beeping machine start and Allison jumps up from her seat dropping her Reese onto it behind her. Nurses start to run into Lydia's room as Allison follows close behind them pulling Stiles with her. She can't tell what is happening or see into the room as the doctors and nurses come in and out of the open door. The doctors finally shut the doors behind them and leave Lydia's parents, Allison and Stiles standing out in the hallway with shocked and worried looks on their faces.

Stiles stopped mid bite as he heard noises in Lydia's room. The candy fell out of his mouth as he opened it and stared straight not knowing what to do. He was frozen and was so glad that Allison pulled him along with him. Finally he was able to move by himself and as he tried to go in the doctors shut the door in all of their faces. He looked at Allison his eyes widened and mouth still open.

Lydia had regained consciousness, and all everyone was doing was crowding around her and asking her questions. The doctors and nurses poked and prodded her, changing her IV bags and continuing to ask her questions that she could not answer. She looked around frantically for a face she recognized. Not being able to find one, she started to panic a little. As she continued to look around the room, she spotted Peter's face in the corner, closing her eyes and whimpering. When she opened her eyes, he wasn't there anymore. She looked up at the doctor's and nurses. "Where are my parents?"

As Allison stood with Stiles and Lydia's parents none of them spoke. They were all standing in silence staring at the hospital door until finally one of the doctors emerged. Allison held her breathe as the doctor walked up to Lydia's parents.

Stiles looked around nervously and got even more nervous as the doctors approached Lydia's parents. "Wait she's not..." Stiles looked at the doctor his eyes wide and a nervous look on his face. 'No she isn't no, no!' He tried to walk over and look in the room to see her but the doctor pushed him back.

Lydia was still confused and slightly frightened. She continued to scan the faces around her, searching for her parents. "Where are my parents?" she said, looking up at the nurse in front of her. No one was answering her. They were all just talking among themselves and talking about what was going on with her medically. They said something about her being asleep for two days and Lydia became even more confused. Had she really been sleeping for two days? And what happened to the man that attacked her?

Allison watched as Stiles began to freak out a bit. As the doctor pushed Stiles back Allison grabbed his arm. "Stiles we need to let the doctor talk to Lydia's parents." Allison turned to look at Mr. and Mrs. Martin "Will you tell us what they say? Please?" Allison smiled lightly at Lydia's parents as they nodded and went to talk to the doctors. Allison was acting calm but inside she was anything but. She was worried about Lydia and about what just happened. She hoped they would tell Stiles and her what happened as soon as possible.

Stiles looked at Allison not wanting to stop. He needed to know what was going on with Lydia but he knew that he had to give them some space. He watched as they started to talk and frowned. "What if something happened?" He looked at Allison wondering how she could be so calm. This was her best friend!

Lydia started to become angry. She sat up in bed, shaking everyone's hands off of her. She looked around at all of them. "Stop touching me and get me my parents! Now!" she screamed, waiting for them all to exit the room and leave her alone. Once they had all left and shut the door, she laid back in bed, noticing Peter's dark figure in the corner of the room yet again. She shuddered with fear, closing her eyes and hoping that it would make him go away. When she opened her eyes again he was still there. She continued to open and shut her eyes, her whole body stiffened in fear.

Allison took a couple deep breaths in trying not to panic. "They would have said something right then and there if something bad happened" Allison's voice quivered a little as she spoke. Suddenly both Allison and Stiles could hear Lydia's voice. She was screaming at the doctors and nurses. Allison's eyes started to water and she pushed back the tears as she saw Lydia's parents rushing into the room. "See Stiles, same Lydia shes okay....for now."

Stiles looked behind him as he heard Lydia's loud screams. He knew that now she was probably fully healed and that was why the doctors were so secretive. He was trying to imagine what it would be like having his crush since 3rd grade be a werewolf too, along with his best friend. Not to mention the fact that her best friend's family would be after her! He closed his eyes and sighed before looking at Allison. "How is anyone going to explain how she healed so fast. She's alive, so that means..." He didn't want to say it. "She is probably already healed!"

Lydia kept her eyes closed, afraid to even open them anymore. She laid down and tried to relax and assure herself that the man was not there. Suddenly, she felt the cold touch of his finger tips on her cheek. She winced and pulled away, opening her eyes quickly and finding no one in the room. A few tears welled in her eyes, though they did not fall. She pulled the blankets tighter around her and kept her eyes open, waiting for her parents to come.

As Lydia's parents went into her room and closed the door Allison turned to Stiles and started to whisper. "I won't let my family hurt her Stiles...If I have to I'll put myself between them and her. Nothing will happen." Allison turned back towards the door and wished she had Scott's werewolf hearing. She really wanted to know what Lydia and her parents were saying.

Stiles knew that Allison would never let anyone hurt her best friend. That he was sure of, but he was still worried about her. What would she do? What would he do? "I know..." he nodded, "But.." He started to walk towards the door so that he could barge in and see her but he stopped himself knowing that she would need time with her parents.

Lydia looked over as the door to her room opened, seeing her parents walk through it. Her mother had tears in her eyes and her father looked like he hadn't slept in days. She smiled at both of them and sat up in her bed, reaching out to them, as if to ask for a hug. "Mom. Dad." she said, her voice cracking. She was so happy to see them, but a little surprised that they could tolerate being in the same room as each other.

Allison could tell all Stiles wanted to do was go into Lydia's hospital room and see if she was okay. As he started to walk towards the door she reached her hand out to stop him but then lowered it as he stopped himself. Allison took a couple steps toward him and grabbed his arm. "Come on, Lets sit down. No use standing here right now. They will let us know when and if we can see her."

Stiles thought that sitting might be a good idea. That way he wasn't as tempted to go and check on her. "Okay." He nodded and started to walk towards a chair and he sat down slowly still staring at the room. If he heard anything bad or if that door opened he would be there as quickly as he could. Stiles never knew that he would be this worried about the girl who had ignored him for so many years.

Lydia had hugged both her parents already and now they were both standing awkwardly at the foot of her hospital bed. Her mother was softly crying and her father was just staring at her. She looked around the room, trying to think of something to say, but couldn't come up with anything. Her father looked at her mother and suggested that they let her rest. Her mother agreed and they began to exit the room. Lydia smiled over at them as they closed the door, then straightened out her blankets a little. She didn't want to be left alone, but seeing her mother cry was just too much.

As she sat there with Stiles Allison played nervously with her hands while staring at Lydia's hospital door. She was waiting for Lydia's parents to come out so she could hopefully talk to them and maybe even go see Lydia. As Lydia's door opened, Allison stood up slowly and waited to see if Lydia's parents would come over to her and Stiles.

Stiles sat there silently and took a few deep breathes. He was hoping that everything would be okay. He was so worried about her. As soon as the door opened Stiles jumped up and walked as fast as he could to the door. Seeing Lydia was Stiles' only priority right now. It had to happen.

Lydia heard some commotion from outside her hospital door. She thought she could hear Allison and Stiles, but she could be wrong. She slowly sat up in bed, throwing her legs over the side of the bed and sliding off, grabbing hold of her portable IV pole and rolling it over to the window with her. She parted the blinds, looking out in the cold, dead, darkness and wondering if the man that attacked her was still out there.

As she watched Stiles run towards Lydia's door Allison rushes over to him grabbing his arm. "Stiles you can't go in yet, what if shes sleeping again, or resting? Let's go talk to her parents first."

Stiles looked at Allison when she grabbed his arm. "Look I don't care, I need to see her." He looked at Allison seriously and then down at his arm wanting her to let go. Stiles didn't really care about anyone but Lydia right now. Why would he waste his time talking to her parents when she was so close. He wanted to be talking to her!

Lydia heard the voices again, this time sure that it was Allison and Stiles. Why were they lingering outside her door? Why hadn't they come in yet? She walked over towards the door slowly, stopping in front of her bed and eyeing the silhouettes she saw in the glass window on the door. "Allison?! Stiles?!" she call out, hoping they would hear her.

Tightening her grasp on his arm Allison glares at Stiles a little before slowly releasing his arm and sighing. "Don't you think I want to see her too Stiles? She's my best friend. But we need to make sure we are allowed to see her. or would you rather get thrown out of the hospital?"

As Allison started to walk away from Stiles and towards Lydia's parents she stopped in her tracks as the familiar sound of Lydia's voice entered the hallway through the closed hospital door. Turning sharply around Allison whispered "Lydia?" before quickly walking over to her door.
