A Night Of Bowling (Allison, Stiles & Lydia)

Stiles nodded slightly at Allison and then looked right back down. She was right, it was only a game, but it didn't change the fact that he had just embarrassed himself in front of Lydia. He felt like an idiot and he was sure that Lydia was thinking the same thing. 'She's probably thinking about how much of an idiot I am.' He thought to himself.

Lydia finished writing out her text message, then locked her phone and put it back in her purse. She looked over at Stiles, who was still upset, and tried to think of a way she could cheer him up. Unfortunately, she couldn't think of anything. She didn't really know him that well, only that he had a crush on her, so she didn't know what made him happy.

Smiling a little at Stiles again Allison shrugged her shoulders and walked to the top of the lane. Lydia hadn't answered her question so she assumed it was her turn or else Lydia would have objected. Concentrating on the pins Allison swung her arm back and then forward releasing the ball and sending it rolling down the lane.

Stiles sighed still looking at the floor and he frowned a bit. He knew that he was probably over reacting but he was still upset with himself. Slowly, he looked up and watched as Allison started to bowl. He hoped that she would do good.

Lydia, still seeing the slight depression in Stiles, decided to make an attempt to cheer him up, whether she knew it was going to work or not. She did want him spoiling all the fun and continuing to be a downer, but she also felt bad that he was so upset. She didn't really understand why he was upset, but none the less, she was going to try to make him happy again. As Allison took her turn, Lydia stood up and walked over to the chair next to Stiles, sitting down softly and watching Allison throw her ball. "She's good at this." she said, trying to start up a conversation.

As the ball smacked against a couple of pins knocking them over, Allison smiled to herself. She still needed more practice at bowling but she figured she was doing okay for now. Grabbing the ball to take her second shot Allison held it tightly in her hand and stared down the lane deep in concentration. Taking in a deep breath Allison once again sent the ball rolling down the lane towards the remaining pins.

Stiles watched Lydia as she came over and sat next to him. He wasn't really sure what she was doing but whatever it was, he liked it! He half smiled at Lydia, "Yeah she's great! I'm kind of jealous actually!" He looked back down at the floor once more.

Lydia nudged Stiles a little with her arm and snickered. "What are you talking about? You're great." she said, smiling at him. She continued to look at him, seeing if she could get him to smile. She heard the faint sound of Allison's ball connecting with the pins on the lane.

Smiling a little as her ball hit over the remaining pins, Allison turned around and grinned as she saw Stiles and Lydia interacting again. Walking back to one of the chairs Allison grabbed her drink before sitting down and pulling her phone out once again. Allison didn't want to interrupt Lydia and Stiles at all so she started to text a couple of her other friends.

Stiles shook his head at Lydia, as much as he loved that fact that she cared enough to try and make him feel better he didn't want her to feel like she had to. "No i'm really not. You don't have to lie to make me feel better Lydia. It's okay." He sighed and leaned his head back closing his eyes. For some reason he felt angry with himself.

Lydia sighed a little and hung her head down. "I wasn't trying to lie to you." She reached over and gently placed her hand on Stiles's shoulder. "I really do think you are good." A smile crept onto her face as she stared into Stiles's eyes, making sure that he knew she meant what she said.
