The Unexpected (Lydia and Derek)

This thread takes place at night, after a dance at the high school. Lydia leaves the school to search for Jackson, who had disappeared from the school.

Lydia stepped onto the lacrosse field, shivering partly from the cold and partly from fear. It was pitch black out here and all she was hearing were animal noises. She didn't really know why she thought Jackson would be here in the middle of the night, but she had already looked everywhere else and figured it wouldn't hurt to check. As she stepped more into the middle of the field, the noises around her began to scare her more. She spun around quickly, heading out of the middle of the field.

Derek was waiting for just the right moment to emerge from the shadows. The normal sounds of the night just weren't scary enough, so he transformed and let out a loud deep howl. Derek thought to himself 'that should do it' and waited a moment before walking onto the lacrosse field. The lights on the field turned on, and knew that that was his cue. He walked out, and noticed his victim standing there screaming for Jackson.

Lydia looked around frantically, noticing a shadowy figure emerging from the darkness. She began to back away from who ever it was, screaming Jackson's name, hoping that anyone would hear her. She brought her gaze back to the shadowy figure, tears springing to her eyes and falling down her face. "Leave me alone!" she screamed, began to back away faster.

Derek continues to emerge from the blackness, getting closer to Lydia with every step he took. When he's only a few steps away from her, he could practically smell the fear coming from her. "Hello Lydia." Derek charged towards her to attack. He could smell someone familiar coming closer, so he took this time as his closer. He clawed at her,bruised her, and then finally bit her. Derek quickly turned his head to see Stiles emerging screaming Lydia's name.

Lydia laid on the ground, weak and helpless. Her attacker was still on top of her, glaring over at another person emerging onto the field. She turned her head to look at the blurred figure, the tears in her eyes making it difficult for her to see. She tried to sit up, but a shooting pain ran up her side. She groaned from the pain, then finally passed out.

Derek gets off of Lydia when he realizes when she has passed out. He thought in his head 'this shouldn't be happening. Why did she pass out.' Derek looked down and heard a faint heartbeat, and heard Lydia moan in pain. He gently lifts her up and heads out to his old house, but then notices her opening her eyes slightly. "Calm down Lydia everything's alright."

Lydia laid lifeless in Derek's arms, going in and out of consciousness, her body jiggling around as he walked. She regained consciousness for a few moments, seeing only the face of her attacker again, then losing consciousness yet again.
