New Skills to impress Lydia (open)

Lydia watched Stiles continue to skate towards her. She turned around and skated backwards, watching him concentrate. "They are rules. More like guidelines and safety measures." she said, smiling at him. As he began to lose balance, Lydia stopped and reached out, grabbing both of his hands and helping him stay upright. "Easy there." she said, looking down at him feet. "You let your toe pick dig." She flipped her hair away from her face and looked back at his face.

Stiles started to freak out on the inside once Lydia grabbed his hands. He almost passed out right there in front of her. 'Calm down' He said to himself but once she flipped her hair he couldn't handle it anymore. He started to loose balance and gripped onto her hands tightly. He took another deep breath. Why must Lydia taunt him so much with her beauty.

Lydia gripped Stiles's hands tighter as he began to wobble, looking down at his feet. She made sure he was stable then looked at him again. "Ok, I think that's enough ice for you." she said, skating closer to him and leading him out of the rink. "Maybe you should take a few classes before you go at this by yourself again."

Stiles sighed as Lydia said that to him. He was such a dumb ass. Why couldn't he just be an amazing skater so he could skate with Lydia. "Im sorry i messed up your skating. You were just so graceful. You are an amazing skater." He looked down and then started to turn around slowly. He was mad at himself for ruining this.

Lydia caught the sad tone in Stiles's voice. She helped lead him safely out of the rink then walked him to a nearby bench. "Thank you." she said, sitting him down. "And you didn't ruin anything. I was getting ready to leave anyway." she lied, trying to make him feel better.

Stiles started to untie his skates after he got to the bench and he looked over at Lydia. "It didn't look like you were about to leave." He leaned his head slightly and looked right at her. "You were in the middle of skating. I'm sorry." He sighed and took both skates off and started to put his shoes back on.

Lydia watched Stiles put on his shoes and sighed. "You don't have to apologize." she said, placing her hand on Stiles' arm. "You didn't do anything wrong." she smiled at him and then began to take off her right skate. She pulled it off her foot and placed it next to her on the bench.

Stiles smiled slightly as Lydia put her hand on his arm. The little things that Lydia did made him so happy. He nodded at her and watched as she took off her shoes. " I could.. umm.. never mind." He chuckled because he forgot what he was about to say. She made him so nervous. He took a breath and smiled at her once again.

Lydia looked over at Stiles and smiled. "What?" she said, trying to figure out what he was about to say before he stopped himself. She started to untie her left skate, still looking over at Stiles and waiting for an answer.

Stiles shook his head at Lydia. "Nothing.. I forgot." He chuckled and then looked down. He was making himself look stupid again. He wanted to act normal but he just wasn't normal. He wished he could calm down for a second so he could talk to Lydia.

Lydia smiled and pulled her left skate off her foot. She placed it next to her other one and tried to act ask normal as possible. She wasn't sure what to say to Stiles, so she remained silent, playing with her hands and staring at the wall on the other side of the rink.

Stiles stood up and looked over at Lydia. "Do you want to go somewhere else?" He asked nervously. "Like the mall... I mean, um.. you could shop or whatever." He took a breath and looked down knowing that it was stupid to ask her that. Lydia Martin had ignored him for years, that wasn't going to change today.

Lydia looked over at Stiles, a little embarrassed, but she wasn't going to let him know that. She tried to think of an excuse of why she couldn't go, but couldn't think of one that wasn't hurtful. She grabbed her skates and stood up, knowing that her next sentence was going to leave Stiles very much confused. "Sure. Let me go grab my shoes from my locker." she said, spinning around and walking towards the locker room to change out of her skating clothes and grab her stuff.

Stiles looked at Lydia shocked. Did Lydia actually just agree to going somewhere with him. Had his ten year plan worked?? He started to smile at her. "Are you... okay!! I'll wait at the front" He pointed to the front before looking down. He grinned to himself and slowly started to walk towards the front.

As Lydia approached her locker, she grabbed the lock and put in her combination. Once the lock opened she began to change out of her skating clothes and into the clothes she had on before she came. When she was finished, she placed her skates in the locker with her clothes, grabbed her purse, and locked up her locker. She walked out of the room, stopping before exiting completely to look at her reflection in a nearby mirror to fix her hair, then continued to make her way back to Stiles.

Stiles looked at the ground with his hands in his pockets as he waited for Lydia. He thought maybe all of this was a dream. This could never actually happen. Lydia would never actually agree to go to the mall with him. That's not possible. Was it? He looked up and smiles as Lydia walked toward him.

As Lydia approached Stiles, she smiled and wrapped her purse around her shoulder. "All set?" she asked, looking at him. She turned slightly and dug into her purse, searching for her keys. "Ill take my car you take yours. We'll meet there." she said, finally finding her keys and pulling them out of her purse.

Stiles smiled widely at Lydia. "Sounds great! So... I'll see you there," He looked at her and then turned around starting to walk out of the ice rink. "Is this actually happening??' He said to himself with a grin on his face. This was the moment he had been waiting for since the 3rd grade. Although he did go to the formal with her, but she didn't actually want to go. She wanted to be with Jackson the whole time. He shrugged as he got into his blue jeep. 'She actually wants to be with me now.'
